This course covers the theory and introduction to floristry, hands-on practice for the 4 most commonly used arrangements and practical knowledge on aftercare for flowers. Suitable for beginners with no experience or hobbyists looking to brush up on their floral arrangement knowledge.

Course Fee: $450 for 4 Lessons over 4 weeks or 2 Days (inclusive of all materials)

• Tools used in floristry

• Choosing and sourcing blooms

• Conditioning of flowers and foliage

• Creating 4 arrangements - Round bouquet, Box Arrangement, Dome Centrepiece, Vase Arrangement

• Ribbon Work x 2

• Simple Colour theory

COURSE OUTLINE:

Lesson 1:

- Theory: Introduction to florist equipment and tools, preparing and conditioning flowers before arrangement

- Hand-tied gift bouquet (Round Bouquet)

Lesson 2:

- Theory: Floral Foam, aftercare for flowers

Box arrangement

Lesson 3:

- Theory: Colour Matching

- Table Centrepiece

Lesson 4:

- Theory: Choosing and sourcing blooms

- Vase Arrangement

COURSE ATTENDANCE:
